"Crying for Wotton"

A new display at The Wotton Heritage Centre features Mr. George Carpenter who has been Town Crier of Wotton for 40 years. The display includes a brief history of this ancient office but particularly looks at Mr. Carpenter's involvement in events both locally and world wide and mentions some earlier holders of
this office.

A variety of photographs and other memorabilia are on view.

The display will run from November to January.

Opening hours: Tuesdays to Fridays: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m, to 4 p.m. Saturdays: mornings only

While admission to the Museum is FREE donations, however small, are always very welcome.
