"The Golden Years"

This display will feature events that have occurred in the town from 1950 to 2000. These include celebrating Queen Elizabeth II's Golden Wedding anniversary, the Millennium, the 50th. Anniversary of the end of World War II and twinning the town with Beaumont-le-Roger in Normandy. The display will also look at changes to both primary and secondary schools during that period, the opening of the Heritage Centre and the new fire station, the reconstruction of Market Street and many other day to day events.

The display will run from October 2010 to January 2011
