"Times Past "
History is not just in books or on the internet. It is all around us every day. “Times Past”, the latest display at Wotton Heritage Centre, looks at local history in the area by means of photographs, documents and various objects; from the Iron Age Fort at Brakenbury Ditches on the out skirts of the town and excavations at nearby Roman Villas, to finds in gardens and fields of coins, pottery, clay pipes and trading tokens.
The display will be in place from July to September 2010.
The event is in conjunction with the British Council of Archaeology's annual Archaeology Week in July.
