"Maps, Charts and Satnavs"

This display at the Wotton Heritage Centre will be looking briefly at the history of map making internationally, and in more detail, at maps of the British Isles from medieval times up to the present day. A separate display panel will feature maps of Wotton-under-Edge - Tithe, Ordnance Survey and modern street maps. Display cabinets' will contain various pictorial maps, atlases and objects of local interest.

The display is in conjunction with the British Association's Science and Engineering week in March.

Leaflets, including maps, which describe walks in and around the area will be available for sale in the Heritage Centre Shop

The display will run from February until April 2008. at the Wotton Heritage Centre,

Admission to the Museum, Tourist Information Point and Souvenir Shop is free though donations towards the up keep of the Centre are always welcome.

A small fee is charged for use of the Research Room.

Opening Hours:
Tuesdays to Fridays: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 to 4 p.m. Saturdays: mornings only.
