The Heritage Centre is run entirely by volunteers. They manage a number of activities, from guaranteeing that the Centre is open all year round to providing valuable advice to the many people who come to use the Research Room, from running events to collecting the reminiscences of local people for the Oral History Archive.

They also prepare a new thematic display every month, scan old photographs into digital format and maintain the family history archive.

We are always looking for new people to help with the many aspects of running the centre.If you have a love of local history and can spare a few hours a week, we would like to hear from you.
