Wotton Electric Picture House will be hosting a public ticketed event called CELEBRATE CINEMA on Saturday 18th January at 4.30pm. The event especially concerns Wotton, as a Community Cinema which is run by volunteers.

Wotton Electric Picture House is to be used as a model for community projects and Arturi Films, Gloucestershire will be filming in the cinema on Saturday 18th January. This two hour event will open at 4pm for a 4.30pm start, when a short film, Black Car Home filmed in Gloucestershire, will be shown.

During the day a film director and producer will be working with the management committee, volunteers and the public in the cinema to produce a short film. The film will cover aspects of how the cinema reopened, has been run as a cooperative social enterprise over the last eight years, and its’ transition to its next phase of development. Catherine Johnson, the cinema's patron and screen writer of Mama Mia, will be there for a Q&A session prior to the film. After the film there will be a Q&A session with Jon Cleave (from Fisherman's Friend and who plays the leading role in the film) and Lloyd Buck (the bird trainer involved in the film)

The tickets are £10.00 and all proceeds will go to the Heritage Centre. Tickets are available online from the Cinema (www.wottoneph.co.uk) or Tel 01453 844601. A full house will generate £1000 for the Heritage Centre!!! Please support this event and have a fun couple of hours at the same time
